A prince wanders into the fabled peach blossom village, where it is claimed to be possible to find the fountain of youth, and strikes up a passionate relationship with Liu Qing Qing.

There is a village of peach blossoms in the mountains, hidden from everything, among the clouds and the mist. The heir to the imperial dynasty, Zuo Jing Lun, wanders into this region on his way to assume government in the southwest. Here, he finds inner peace and falls in love with Liu Qing Qing, a powerful figure who has the courage to be both kind and hateful.

On his route to assume office, the governor of Yaozhou Zuo Jinglun (played by Wang Hongyi) got lost and entered the remote settlement of Taohuawu. There is an odd tradition here. Women are only seen as grownups if they have experienced romantic love. The tribe believed that the opening ceremony of “A Luofeng” (performed by Huang Yi) represented God’s desire, therefore Zuo Jinglun was compelled to remain in Taohuawu. Zuo Jinglun then appeared out of nowhere in Liu Qingqing.

There are international disputes in the country of Zhongzhou. To escape conflict and anarchy, a group of individuals moved westward. They came across a fairyland on earth as they were moving through the thick forest. Here, there are miles and miles of peach blooms, lush grass and water, and very happy people. They live in isolation and seal the entrance; they go by the name Taohuawu. Taohuawu has chosen the patriarch A Luofeng to guide the entire clan in living a life free from material concerns for hundreds of years. The outer world has been settled for a while, the nation is calm, and the people are safe, but there are also tales of Taohuawu in cities like Beijing and Yaozhou. Zuo Jinglun, an imperial son, travelled to Yaozhou a month before he was scheduled to take office as governor in order to assess the state of the local officials. Zuo Jinglun was on his way to assume office when his horse suddenly became scared, causing him to become separated from his troops in the pitch-black night. The selection of the new Aluofeng is now taking place in Taohuawu. The new Aluofeng is Liu Qingqing. Shen Feiyang, the guardian, went to the forest to hunt and kill deer because deer blood had to be dedicated to heaven during the clan leader’s succession ritual. In spite of her reluctance to kill the deer, Liu Qingqing grabbed it alongside Shen Feiyang in order to draw its blood before dressing the animal’s wound. Liu Qingqing replaced A Luofeng after the elder patriarch, Grandma Long, presided over the important event and swore to protect the clan. After taking control, Liu Qingqing made her destined partner available in accordance with God’s will. She added water to the peach blossoms she had used to select her husband. The peach blossoms, according to the tribe, would have floated to Shen Fei, but Liu Qingqing didn’t appear to want to choose Shen Feiyang. Liu Qingqing was waiting for her destined partner as she gazed at the location of the peach blossoms. She had no idea, however, that a guy would abruptly rush out of the water and interrupt the ritual. Unintentionally, Zuo Jinglun entered Taohuawu. Regardless of whether the intruder was a good guy or a terrible guy, the tribesmen were furious and demanded that Liu Qingqing murder the foreigner. Liu Qingqing, the clan’s head, was unable to assassinate Zuo Jinglun since she was a clan member. She loosened her hold just as she was ready to choke him and let him go, giving Zuo Jinglun time to flee. In order to trick his captors into the trap, Zuo Jinglun fled into the forest and discovered a trap hidden beneath a tree. He then covered the trap with leaves. Zuo Jinglun was being pursued by Liu Qingqing when he asked for assistance from Liu Qingqing and exploited the chance to push Liu Qingqing into the trap by pointing out his damaged leg. Liu Qingqing grabbed Zuo Jinglun when she fell into the trap and went in with her. She claimed that the trap was intended to capture animals after Liu Qingqing slipped in. In order to pull the two of them up, she swung her long whip out of the hole and tied it. To advance, Zuo Jinglun moved back and instructed Liu Qingqing to take the lead. Liu Qingqing finally gave in and let Zuo Jinglun to go up first. Sincere Liu Qingqing believed that she had saved Zuo Jinglun and that Zuo Jinglun would not abandon her. She did not anticipate, nevertheless, that Zuo Jinglun would grab the whip and flee after rising. Running through the forest, Zuo Jinglun came upon the Taohuawu settlement. Despite not having enough time, he was drawn to the area’s beauty before being captured and returned by Liu Qingqing. In order to learn the truth regarding his father’s passing in Yaozhou, Zuo Jinglun issued a military order to assume power in Yaozhou after being imprisoned. He was particularly concerned about this because his mother was the eldest princess of the dynasty. He unexpectedly found himself at Taohuawu. He was worried about hurting his family. All of Zuo Jinglun’s followers searched the area around Taohuawu for him but were unsuccessful. In order to avoid the Zuo family being impacted by the news, the eldest princess blocked it and actively looked for Zuo Jinglun before taking government. Despite the fact that Zuo Jinglun was her chosen one and a foreigner who was supposed to be murdered by the clan’s rules, Liu Qingqing was powerless to intervene on his behalf. She was genuinely unsure about what to do. Liu Qingqing sought Long Po’s opinion. Then Long Po related the tale of how strangers invaded Taohuawu a century earlier. They led a sizable group of people to attack Taohuawu after they emerged. The clan norms mandate that all intruders must be punished because fortunately, Aluofeng led the tribe to close the entrance and kept Taohuawu safe. To keep Taohuawu safe, Long Po instructed Liu Qingqing to kill Zuo Jinglun, thus Liu Qingqing went to the prison. Zuo Jinglun was gravely hurt and in danger of losing his life as Liu Qingqing was going to execute him. She had to locate A Yuan to heal Zuo Jinglun since she simply couldn’t do it. A Yuan’s diagnosis led him to the conclusion that Zuo Jinglun had been poisoned in addition to being injured. Liu Qingqing concealed Zuo Jinglun in the cabin where she was hunting and resting because the prison was too humid for him to recover from his wounds. Zuo Jinglun used the toxic red primrose in the prison, which can momentarily make people dizzy, to poison himself, but Liu Qingqing spared him since he knew Liu Qingqing was kind-hearted and couldn’t bear to murder him. In his haste to leave Taohuawu, Zuo Jinglun discovered flint in Liu Qingqing’s tent. He didn’t have a chance to react, though, because Liu Qingqing had come to offer him dinner. Shen Feiyang planned to assist Liu Qingqing in killing Zuo Jinglun after listening to Long Po’s requests, but once he arrived at the prison, he thought it was wrong. He unintentionally learned that Liu Qingqing had picked up Zuo Jinglun, which was unexpected. Shen Feiyang approached Zuo Jinglun directly, threatened to kill him, and engaged him in combat. However, Liu Qingqing intervened to stop Shen Feiyang. After breaking into Taohuawu, the intruders brought a sizable group of individuals to attack the city. Taohuawu was protected thanks to A Luofeng’s leadership in getting the entrance sealed, but the clan regulations required punishment for all outsiders.
